Houston Methodist Neurology MS Specialist Needed - Houston Methodist - Sugar Land! in Sugar Land, Texas
Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Neurologist fellowship-trained in Multiple Sclerosis (MS) to join our multispecialty subspecialist neurology group in Sugar Land, TX. Our team consists of 6 physicians, 1 neuropsychologist, and 1 psychiatrist, serving the diverse patient population of Sugar Land and the surrounding communities.
Responsibilities:
Provide expert clinical care for patients with neurological conditions, with a focus on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of Multiple Sclerosis and related disorders.
Conduct comprehensive neurological evaluations, including history-taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests, to formulate accurate diagnoses and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
Educate and counsel patients and their families on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and care planning, involving them in decision-making processes.
Participate in departmental meetings, conferences, and multidisciplinary discussions to contribute to the collective knowledge and expertise of the neurology group.
Maintain accurate and complete electronic medical records (EMR) and comply with all hospital and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited medical school
Completion of residency in Neurology from an accredited program
Fellowship training in Multiple Sclerosis or neuroimmunology
Board certification or eligibility in Neurology
Valid TX medical license
Excellent clinical skills, including history-taking, physical examination, and interpretation of diagnostic tests
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
